The Town of Sundre uses coloured zones to identify which neighbourhoods are scheduled for snow removal. Use the attached brochure below to see which coloured zone your neighbourhood is in. It also contains useful information on snow clearing policies, planning and procedures.
Check Notices periodically to see the latest information on which neighbourhoods are scheduled for clearing.
NOTE: Due to the warmer weather, with snow melting and frost lifting the ground, sidewalks are a little slippery in the morning. Once the sun hits that area the ice will thaw. If you notice an area that is not melting please call the Town Office @ 403-638-3551 and put in a concern for that area.
The Town of Sundre continues to monitor conditions on the Red Deer River. The current is flowing quickly, and large trees and other debris have been observed moving downstream.
The Alberta River Forecast Centre advises that river flows are expected to peak at approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon.
Residents and visitors are urged to stay well back from riverbanks, avoid entering the water, and use extreme caution around the river, as fast-moving water and floating debris can create dangerous conditions.
The Town will continue to monitor the situation closely. If conditions change, updates will be shared through the Town of Sundre website and Alberta Emergency Alert, if required.
Thank you for your cooperation and exercising caution around the river
