Sundre Received 5 Full Blooms in 2021 Competition!
There was no competition in 2020 due to COVID, and Sundre will not be competing in 2022. But the last two times Sundre Communities in Bloom competed, in 2019 and 2021, Sundre scored 5 Full Blooms by Communities in Bloom within the provincial competitive category for communities between 2001-6000 people. Special recognition was also made for the Town's new Greenwood Community Gazebo and new landscaped free public parking lot downtown in 2019, and the connected nature of our community in 2021. See the 2021 judges' evaluation here.
Sundre is growing and continuously working toward making the community one of the most beautiful in Alberta. Thanks must be extended to all the volunteers who make this success possible - you do a wonderful job! Thank you and congratulations, Sundre!
Sundre will once again be competing in 2023, and we invite members of the public interested in being a part of the CIB committee to contact us at townmail@sundre.com.

Sundre Communities in Bloom is an ad hoc volunteer committee, supported financially and with administrative support by the Town of Sundre, whose goal is to meet the objectives of the Communities in Bloom organization. Their focus is not only on beautification through landscaping and flowers, but on environmental sustainability, community amenities, culture and history too.
Sundre's CIB committee consists of Town staff from the departments of community services and economic development, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Sundre & District Museum, and Sundre Garden Club. Members of the community at large are also welcome to be a part of it.
