Town of Sundre Asks For Patience In Clearing Ice From Roadways

SUNDRE – The Town of Sundre Department of Operational Services is advising residents to exercise patience while operations crews work to diligently remove ice and ruts from roadways.

With the warm weather melting the heavy snow, large amounts of ice and slush can accumulate and quickly freeze during the nighttime drops in temperature.

Since there are only 3 to 5 prime hours of ice clearing time during the day where temperatures remain above zero long enough for crews to easily conduct their work, clearing the entire Town can require longer amounts of time than residents are used to.

Please exercise caution and patience around ice until Town crews are able to remove build-ups in this climate.
