RFP-Community Engagement Process To Determine Demand for a Wholesale Public Broadband Network

The Town of Sundre is soliciting proposals from qualified professional vendors to conduct an unbiased and comprehensive public engagement process to determine a) the public’s appetite to risk public dollars on a wholesale broadband network, and b) the market demand for such a network. Proposals should include the source of costs and expenses. A budget limit that is as yet to-be-determined will be enforced to ensure that costs are controlled.

The challenge for the successful proponent will be to conduct at least two public engagement sessions, and conduct door-to-door surveying of as many of Sundre’s 1416 premises as possible, with a final report submitted by the end of May, 2017. This is a very quick turn-around and only vendors capable of meeting the short timelines are expected to submit a proposal.
