Utility or Tax Instalment Deferrals

Utility Bill Payment Deferral

In response to the unprecedented economic effects of COVID-19, the Town of Sundre Council has approved a bill payment deferral program for customers who have been directly affected by the pandemic.   If you are unable to continue operating your business, experiencing loss of employment or are self-isolating due to COVID-19, you may request a deferral of payment up to June 30th, 2020 for your Utility bill.  Monthly utility billings will continue to be distributed and overdue charges will be reflected on your account.

This deferral is only a delay of payment, not a cancellation or waiver of the utility charges.

We would encourage payments periodically to prevent large balances owing at the end of the deferral period.

To register, provide your Utility Account Number along with up to date contact information on a deferral form.   Forms can be printed from below or have been included with your bill.  Please send completed forms via e-mail to townmail@sundre.com, by fax (403) 638-2100, by mail to Sundre Town Office, Box 420, Sundre, AB. T0M 1X0, or deposit in the drop-box located outside the Town office.

Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) Customers Deferral Program

Ratepayers currently making monthly installment payments for the 2020 property taxes under the TIPP agreement, may request a deferral for April, May and June 2020 payments, as these would be in advance of the annual tax due date of June 30th, 2020.   Ratepayers that are directly affected by COVID-19 and cannot ensure funds are available for pre-authorized automatic debit withdrawals for TIPP, can register for this deferment by completing a deferral request form with your Tax Roll Number and most up to date contact information.  Forms may be printed from below.  Please send completed forms via e-mail to townmail@sundre.com, by fax (403)638-2100, by mail to Sundre Town Office, Box 420, Sundre, AB. T0M 1X0, or deposit in the drop-box located outside the Town office.

A request for deferral of TIPP until June 30th, 2020 will result in the total taxes still owing automatically being distributed over the remaining months in the 2020 tax year to achieve a zero balance owing with the last installment payment in December 2020.

Dishonored Debit Payments without registering a deferral request will still incur service fees.

Ratepayers on TIPP may request a cancellation of TIPP at anytime with written notice, however will have to re-apply when they have brought their account to a zero balance.
