The Sundre Fire Department is operated by 32 volunteer firefighters, officers, and a part time Fire Chief. The fire department services the Town of Sundre along with a large rural area consisting of parts of Mountain View County, Clearwater County and Big Horn County. Our volunteers are a professional group of firefighters who are trained and ready to respond to a wide range of community needs including fire response, vehicle extrication, OHV incident response, water and Ice rescue, low angle rescue and disaster response. The fire department apparatus includes 2 pumpers, a tanker, a rescue truck, a rapid response truck and a rescue quad and trailer.

The Sundre Fire Department is also a dedicated service organization as well, raising funds for the community through ball tournaments, a quad poker rally and event services. Our members not only give back to the community financially, they also host events such as the kids Santa Day at the fire hall and Pumpkin Carving at the hall.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) serve the Sundre area with six Constables, one Corporal, one Sergeant, and two stenographers.
