We want to remind residents that Sundre Emergency Management monitors the river and waterways that affect Sundre and are in communication with Alberta River Forecasting 24/7 during flood season. Sundre Emergency Management also monitors a number of weather information sources and is in contact with Environment Canada during the summer watching out for severe weather.

Sundre uses the Alberta Emergency Alert to alert the public of critical information about an immediate disaster, where it is occurring and what action you need to take. Alert information, information posted on the Town website and on official town social media pages are what you need to follow in an emergency. We encourage the public to share only that information and to avoid posting information that has not been released from official sources. Doing so may cause confusion and jeopardise the lives and safety of others.

Let’s have a safe and enjoyable summer
